🎉 Congratulations to the 30 members selected for the 2026-2027 Covington Mayor's Academy!

📸 (The photo accompanying this post is from the graduation ceremony for last year's Mayor's Academy class.)

Representing neighborhoods across our city and a wide range of professions and experiences, this year's class reflects the people who make Covington such a vibrant and engaged community.

Over the next eight months, participants will get an inside look at how City government works through behind-the-scenes tours, conversations with elected officials and department directors, and hands-on learning about everything from public safety and public works to economic development, budgeting, and housing.
🏠 In case you missed it, new housing is coming to Pleasant Street as part of the City’s efforts to expand homeownership opportunities in the Eastside neighborhood.

Mayor Ron Washington and City employees toured Unibilt for a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the homes making their way to The Cov.
